Sideguide Privacy Policy

Sideguide is an AI assistant for online communities hosted on Skool, plus an analytics and management dashboard for community owners. This policy explains what information Sideguide (“we”, “us”) collects, why, and your choices. It covers both the Sideguide browser extension and the Sideguide web dashboard.
Who we are
Sideguide is operated by Vibe Consultant (vibeconsultant.com). For any privacy question or request — including access, correction, or deletion of your data — contact us at support@sideguide.vibeconsultant.com.
Information we collect
When you use the Sideguide extension to ask questions inside a Skool community, we collect:

| Membership verification — a value derived from content available to logged-in members of the community | To confirm you’re a member before letting you use that community’s assistant. We do not store your Skool password or session cookies. |

The dashboard also processes the community’s public posts, comments, and member profiles (gathered from Skool) to produce analytics for the community owner.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use it for advertising, and we run no third-party trackers or advertising SDKs.
- We do not collect your Skool password, and we do not store your Skool session cookies.
How your information is stored and used
Conversations, feedback, and the identity attached to them are stored on our servers so the
assistant has context and the community owner can review activity in their dashboard. Some
data stays only on your device: the extension uses your browser’s local storage to keep
short-lived access tokens and cached page titles (chrome.storage.local); this
never leaves your computer.
Who can see your data
- The owner/administrators of the community you’re using. Your questions, feedback, and member identity appear in that community’s private Sideguide dashboard.
- Our AI model provider. To generate an answer, your question and the relevant community content are sent to a third-party large-language-model provider (currently OpenRouter, routing to the selected model) solely to produce the response.
- Service providers who host our infrastructure, under confidentiality obligations and only as needed to run the service.
Data retention
We keep conversation and analytics data for as long as the community uses Sideguide, or until you ask us to delete data associated with you. You can request deletion at any time using the contact address above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EEA/UK), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email support@sideguide.vibeconsultant.com and we’ll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Children
Sideguide is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify community owners.
